“Sally Who Played Who Matches”

Robert Truitt was my pop pop and he was a great one. We were not the most responsible kids so he created a way to teach us lessons and prevent us from doing dumb things. One of those stories i remember most is Sally who played with matches. A little background is that recently we had started playing with whatever we found around the house, one of those things being matched we found. He noticed and brought us all onto his couch and started telling us a story. It was about a girl name Sally who played with matches and lot herself on fire. When i was little this story terrified me and Ella, Ally, and Zoe. we obviously stopped but he kept telling us these stories. I started to love them and would always look forward to. a new story even if it scared me. I know he loves us all very much and he showed that through his actions and words. I would give anything to go back and actually say goodbye the last time i saw him, but i know i wont be able too. This will haunt me forever and i really just want to go back in time and yell at my younger self to actually say goodbye and cherish every moment even if it seems like a bad one. I hope to see you soon Pop and i will never forget you. Love you
