Obituary for Marie H. Baer

Marie H.  Baer
MARIE H. BAER (nee Deni), age 90, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2018. Daughter of the late Dominic and Elizabeth Deni. Devoted wife of the late Frank W. Baer, Jr. Loving mother of Karen Bitting (Jack); Robert (Nancy); Frank (Tracy) and John (Beth). Beloved grandmother of Kaitlin, John, R. Cooper, Davis, Lily, Henry, Collin (Rachel), Christopher (Ashley), Reed, Tyler and Brooke. Cherished great grandmother of Makayla, Camden, Dawson and Alexander. Dear sister of the late James Deni. Also survived by devoted sister-in-law Constance Deni, niece Nancy Green, nephews James and Joseph Deni and many dear cousins, especially Joan and Jim Moylan. Marie was a long time resident of Somerton, where she and Frank owned and operated Baer’s Market. She was a devoted Catholic and a parishioner at St. Christopher’s Church. Frank and Marie were members of the Philadelphia Quartett Club and Talamore Golf Club. They retired to Florida in 1999 where they enjoyed living and golfing at Del Tura Country Club in North Ft. Myers. Marie will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, her love for her family, her great sense of humor and her extraordinary meatballs. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Monday, July 30, 2018, at 10:00AM at L. A. DiGiacomo, Inc. Funeral Home, 1055 Southampton Road, Philadelphia, PA, immediately followed by services at the funeral home. Interment will be private. Memorial donations can be made to WEL Pennypack Benevolent Care Fund, 8401 Roosevelt Boulevard, Phila., PA 19152.
