Gilbert  Miller
GILBERT R. "GIL" MILLER, age 73, a longtime manager at Sears Roebuck and Company, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2017, with his family by his side. Born in Philadelphia on July 21, 1944, he attended Father Judge High School and then went on to receive a bachelor's degree from LaSalle University. In his free time he enjoyed playing golf and was an avid history buff. He spent many years of his life active at St. Albert the Great, Maternity BVM and St. Christopher parishes, visiting the sick and ushering masses daily. Gil loved all Philadelphia sports teams and was an avid, loyal fan whether the teams were winning or losing. He will always be remembered for having a wonderful sense of humor and an easy smile. Gil is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Rita (nee Hezel) Miller; his loving daughters Anne Marie McCaffery (Eric) and Kathleen West (Arthur); and cherished grandchildren Patrick, Shane, Ryan and Isabella. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation in church Wednesday, November 8, 2017, from 9:15am until 10:30am at St. Christopher Church, 13301 Proctor Road, Philadelphia, immediately followed by his funeral mass 10:30am. His burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, Pennsylvania.
